The Global Financial Crisis, the high Australian dollar, increased overseas competition, and general economic downturn are all contributing to the potential demise of small businesses.

Complacency and apathy are often the main barriers to growth.  You will need commitment and drive, the ability to think ‘outside of the square’, willingness to delegate as your business expands and the skills to manage the whole growth process effectively.

Recognising a problem is the first step to recovery, there are ways to fix this but you must act sooner rather than later. There are two ways to address the problem. The choice is you will need to either increase income or decrease expenses. 

How many of us set money aside before the inevitable bill comes?  I would suggest many of us do not.  The bill comes and if we are lucky and have had a big pay that week, we manage to rake enough money together to pay it.  Lo and behold as soon as that bill is paid, another arrives.
