Tamborine Hawks Sent Footballs Flying Sky-high

Junior AFL teams in the Western Rim Cluster poured into St Bernard State School on Saturday for the Hawks first home game of the season. A number of teams had players struck down with the flu but that didn’t stop the competition going ahead on a beautiful autumn day.

A Soaring Spectacular

The Tamborine Mountain and Beechmont sites are two of Australia’s premiere sites with most flights lasting between 1 and 3 hours. The longest flight in Australia with a hang glider has been from the Beechmont site lasting for 500km to land out past Roma and took about 9 hours.
