The Tamborine Mountain swimming pool is opening for the summer season under new management. Official opening of the swimming season is 1 October.
The Scenic Rim Council announced that BlueFit Leisure have this year taken over management of both Tamborine Mountain and the Canungra pools, with Mt Tamborine resident of 30 years Tassja Given as onsite manager
Managing Director of BlueFit Leisure Reece Rackley said he was excited about running pools in the Scenic Rim and thinks Tassja Given suits her position perfectly.
“BlueFit Leisure is a hands-on management company which works closely with the local communities around each facility we manage. The local communities can expect to see some open days, movie nights and lots of programs run throughout the pools this summer.”
“Tassja holds current qualifications in swimming coaching, learn to swim instructor, pool life guard, bronze medallion, first aid and CPR as well as a pool plant operation certificate.”
BlueFit Leisure pools offer services such as learn to swim classes and squad swimming, with further details accessable via their new website www.scenicrimpools.com.au.
Both the Canungra and Tamborine Mountain pools are 25 metres, heated and feature six lanes. The pools combine solar power with either gas or electricity for heating purposes.
