The Mayor of Scenic Rim Regional Council today acknowledged the valuable contribution of our local State Emergency Services (SES) heroes.
SES Week will be celebrated across Queensland from 5 – 12 November; SES members across Australia will be celebrated throughout November.
“These volunteers really are stand out citizens; they donate their time and risk their own safety to assist others in times of emergency,” Cr Brent said.
“It’s not just the work that these dedicated volunteers do in an emergency, they are also committed to ongoing training to ensure that our region has the resources to support other relevant authorities.”

“I acknowledge the significant achievement that Jeff McConnell has made in his time working with the local SES; he has made great improvements to administration and training for our region.”
“Our local SES members are brothers, sisters, parents and friends, I hope everyone takes the time to acknowledge their commitment to our community and the hard work that they put into ensuring our safety,” Cr Brent concluded.
