Local identity and painter Kym Hart has donated a painting to the Tamborine Mountain Bushrats Junior Rugby Club.
It is part of a raffle prize pool to include signed jersey and ball from the Titans, another jersey from the Huddersfield Giants and a product basket from Nardoo Lavender. There will be one thousand $5 raffle tickets on sale.
The Hudderfield Giants are a West Yorkshire Rugby Club and is also one of the original twenty-two rugby clubs that formed the Northern Rugby Football Union in 1895, making them one of the world's first rugby league teams.
Kym Hart's wife Debbie said, "We give the Bushrats a painting every year to help them along. It a great group of people and they help the kids on Tamborine Mountain by giving them activities that keep them fit and active".
The Tamborine Mountain Junior Bushrats are funded completely from donations. "The QRL does not fund us at all," said Bushrats Secretary Kylie Drinkwater, "We are a charity and the young players will be going door to door in their Bushrats uniforms selling the raffle tickets and we plan to have a stall in front of IGA as well".
The Tamborine Mountain Junior Bushrats Rugby League Football Club - to use their full and official name - have organized for raffle tickets to be available at St Bernards Hotel and Arts on Main Street Cafe where Debbie and Kym have their gallery cafe.
