Queensland Wine Centre
Last Thursday I attended Cedar Creek Winery on Hartley Road for the opening of the Queensland Wine Centre where the master of this operation is director John Penglas.

At the bar at the Queensland Wine Centre
John has worked long and hard in his life and has many credits to himself but on Wednesday, along with the board members and special guests he received high praise from Premier Anna Bligh. Premier Bligh MP opened The Queensland Wine Centre and the Arthur Hamblin Gallery which showcases the paintings of Arthur Hamblin, well known for his outback art.
I highly recommend to not only visit the new wine section but to book in for lunch as the food is first class. Book in for a tour of the glow worm caves which has been operating at Cedar Creek for a few years, and is quite a treat for all ages.
The Cedar Creek Winery is one of the success stories of Tamborine Mountain and has become increasingly popular as the perfect venue for weddings held at their superb function centre. For more information visit: www.cedarcreekestate.com.au

London Bus on the Q.T with A Mudie
I had the pleasure of running into local resident Andrew Mudie who has brought out from London an original London Bus. Mr. Mudie had been conducting tours and promotions until he got stopped by Queensland Transport which lead to a court case between them.

Andrew Mudie's book on the red bus from the old country
The book is called “London Bus on the Q.T.” where you follow his gripping story and the uphill battles he faces. He has put a story together replacing names with some quite funny aliases and it sure will be a good read and I will be back to give you an update on it.
He is now working on his next one that has the smell of another good yarn and now resides in a private retreat over in Papua New Guinea till he finishes the book.
I would like to say a special thanks as well to the Mt Tamborine Hotel on Alpine Terrace, next to St Bernards Hotel, management that has kindly looked after film crew the last week.
This is a great location to stay being beside St Bernards Hotel and has a great outlook.
