What a blast of a night with his first gig back home Mason Rack Band gave there all yet again to a full crowd at the St Bernard's Hotel last Friday night 3rd September.
Even the local attraction St Bernard Dog Leo gave them a good welcome at the beginning of the night by voicing himself.
The Boys who have just got back from Canada the night before did not show any form of being tired. Mason is always happy to come home but aims to continue his OS touring as to his band is gaining more demand and a new album on the way.

The Mason Rack Band consists of Mason, Joel "ThunderFoot" Purkess on drums and Nathan "Colossus" Lee-Archer - Bassman and Vocals.
Born in Edmonton Alberta Canada, Joel Purkess got his first taste of drumming at the age of 4 as the little drummer boy in his pre school play. Since then he has gone on to play in numerous bands including Red Orion, Minority Music and Six String Loaded. Joel recently graduated from Grant MacEwan University of Music, studying Jazz, Latin, Funk, Rock, Fusion, Swing, Pop, Big band and many other styles. Playing in many bands and teaching drums before joining the Mason Rack Band, Joel is a dedicated musician and a true lover of all things rhythmic.
Nathan "Colossus" Lee-Archer is from the beautiful island state Tasmania, moved to the Gold Coast in 2005. Began playing in an acoustic trio as well as in Brisbane based band Manzuma. A new project 'The Seasons Call' involved several years in writing and developing that music and sound. Late 2009 saw a new TAFE collaboration with fellow students performing originals and covers under the name 'Top Deck'.
When asked how was Canada for him on this trip round Mason replied ..The audiences here are electric -they all scream and get into it, and they all dance.

Mason playing the beer barrel
We have big name musos coming to our shows, and industry people, including major radio programmers, so we are really grateful. It’s an organic growth, we don't have the ''mega marketing'' monster that large labels have, so we played the 'buggery' out of every show!
It’s working....thank god.”
They have had Local TV and radio shows in Canada invite the band in to talk about their music on tour which all adds up.
We did a interview before the gig as to how Mason is and what is happening . He sure is a busy boy and is loaded with talent as well as his band members. The drumming is always al crowd puller and just get better each time. They are sure to be international huge success more so soon i feel.
