One of the highlights of my year in 2011 was to be invited to attend the media launch of Strategic Airlines "Air Australia". The launch was a trip to the new destination of Hawaii, on the 14 December from Brisbane and Melbourne.

A host of special guests were invited to join the celebration and enjoy the hospitality of the airline and to be part of history.
Celebrities included Jules Lund and FiFi Box, Mickey Robins, Ada Nicodemou, Rupert McCall Kimberley Busteed, Dean Miller, Ericka Heynatz Grant Kenny and the 'social man' himself, Damien Anthony Rossi.
From the moment we left the departure party in Brisbane I knew it was going to be a good time.
Time flew as well on board and when we landed in Hawaii more excitement was in store.
Hats off to the flight crew and the management who looked after everyone so well and arranged for us to stay at the Hilton Hawaii Hotel - the perfect location and where the launch was held on the 16th.
It was a party I won't forget in a hurry - set on a lagoon Village at sunset with dancers, a sneaky sound system, flowing drinks and A class company.
I kept pinching myself to make sure that this wasn’t just a dream and that I was actually in Hawaii!
The party moved on to a nightclub and what happened there will stay in Hawaii!
Michael James, the founder, owner, CEO and Managing Director was the perfect host and the staffs made us feel very welcome.
He hopes to shake up the industry with low costs and new destinations that will be announced soon.
