Our History
The Spice of Life is housed in one of the oldest buildings on Tamborine Mountain. The historic building has been transformed from a grocers and general store in the 1930’s to the existing exciting, modern, multicultural café it is today.

At The Spice of Life we are passionate about exciting, quality food products. We offer a fascinating and varied taste experience each time you visit our Café and Deli or bowse through our online deli store.
We are well known for our catering services both in-house or at a venue of your choice. Finger food platters can be ordered to takeaway along with a vast variety of whole cakes.

We gather and select the finest ingredients and products from local, regional and international suppliers, using our many years of experience living and travelling overseas.

We stock Ogilvie jams and condiments, Fehlbergs antipasti, Brookfarm muesli and macadamia oil, Nicholsen Finishing Vinegars, Pukara flavoured olive oils and vinegars, Gourmet Spice Blend Dukkas, Lindt and Droste chocolates, Chiasso coffee and Chai teas.
Where Locals Meet and Eat
Working with a team of chefs, kitchen hands and wait staff, we have created a contemporary designed international cafe menu served in a casual atmosphere.
All meals are cooked on the premises with a choice of vegetarian and gluten-free meals as part of our selection.
There's an enticing display of salads, gourmet sandwiches, wraps, frittatas and fillos.
Perhaps a curry or dhal is more to your liking, or maybe something wicked and decadent like our home-made cakes, muffins and biscuits.
For a healthy take-away option, most dishes are available as take home meals hot, cold, or frozen.
