The Green Shed
The "Green Shed", located at The Showground, Main Western Road, Mt. Tamborine, Queensland, is a Tamborine Mountain icon and attracts locals and visitors for its weekly fresh local and mostly organic produce.

Tamborine Mountain is the source of an enormous variety of horticultural produce: avocados, kiwi fruit, rhubarb, vegetables and flowers which are available most of the year. There are many large, specialist orchards, but much of the production comes from small farms or large residential blocks.
About 70% of the land on Tamborine Mountain is designated for rural use. Horticultural activities give Tamborine Mountain its green, unspoiled character: one of the reasons for the large numbers of tourists who visit here.
The Green Shed is the local market for fresh, mostly organic, fruit and vegetables, and is open every week on Sunday mornings from 7.00am to noon.
The locals know that Sunday at 'The Shed' is the day to stock up on the freshest of local fresh fruit and veggies, preserves, plants, honey, nuts, fruit juice, coffee, flowers and more.
Organised as a non-profit venture, through the Tamborine Mountain Local Producers Association Inc. (LPA), the market is provided as a service to local small farmers and growers of horticultural produce.
Its aim is to maximise profit for producers and provide visitors and residents with the opportunity to purchase direct from growers.
The Green Shed is open every Sunday (including Market Day) 7am - noon.
